Naima

A pleasant Sunday night listening to Coltrane. The weekend was fairly uneventful. I've been fighting illness for a week. I left work early on Thursday and stayed home Friday. I probably could have been fine with not racing in Folsom on Saturday, but I did and got my clock cleaned by a bunch of redshirts from Chico State. Yeah! Not so fun for the ego. We went out in 5:03 for the first mile and it was all a struggle from there. To quote a great runner I know, "I should have gone out in 0:00.00 and stayed in bed."

After buying some rockin new kicks at the Puma outlet, we came home and just cleaned and lazed and I think I napped for two hours or so. Like I said, uneventful.

Today I did a long run in the form of 14 miles with some guys from the team. It was a nice way to start the day. I feel much better. This week will be easy. No running Thursday or Friday and then I do the big Saturn Relay from 4pm Saturday in Calistoga until some time midday Sunday when we finish in Santa Cruz. If you're interested in cheering for me at 3am when I cross the Golden Gate you should, um, be at the Golden Gate around 3am Sunday morning. Ha ha ha.

In the constant quest for a better living situation, we're still weighing our options. Any suggestions for which town we should move to next?
